Synopsis

The article deals with the privilege of Peter III in Aragón. It examines the content of the privilege and its consequences for the further development of the Aragonese kingdom in the Middle Ages. In particular,
the relationship between the king and the nobility is examined. It also explores the extent to which the privilege can be regarded as a document that stands in the tradition of European fundamental laws.
