Family Protection From a Legal Perspective: Analysis on Certain Central European Countries
Abstract
This volume presents the family law and protection systems of seven Central European countries, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia and a summary chapter about the relevant legal regulations in force in the abovementioned countries.
As an introduction of the topic, the legal-philosophical aspects of marriage and family can be read.
All country reports are structured alongside the same research approach. Firstly, an introduction of the structure of legal basis, as the constitutional protection of marriage and family, the relationship between family law and civil law legal environment and other relevant legal sources. Beside the conceptual approach to family, the legally acknowledged relationship forms are introduced, as marriage, same-sex partnerships and the legal regulations of de facto partnerships. The largest part of the book delves deep into the personal and economic consequences of marriage and the family relationships.
